“You gave us some place to go. I never said thank you for that. I thought I might get one more chance. What would you think of me now? So lucky, so strong, so proud. I never said thank you for that. Now I’ll never have a chance.”
Stefan turned the faded golden doorknob gingerly and swayed the door open to a distance that is adequate enough for him to enter. Simultaneously, he stepped inside the room, leaving the door open, and stood firmly while keeping a distance from her. He wanted to condole her as he ,obviously, knows how it feels being betrayed by the closest people you know as it won’t be an understatement to say that it’s Stefan’s eternal life: Damon and doppelgangers. However, it fits great to the plan that she may not share her feelings to Klaus like Stefan has anticipated.
“You’ve been locking yourself for weeks now.” Stefan ardently stated as he wanted to shift her anger toward Klaus.
Charlotte looked over at Stefan and shrugged, defeated. She didn’t know what to say; everything she wanted to say, she didn’t know how to, and after a while it all mushed together in her head, leaving her at a loss.
She was angry, but too tired to vent this anger. Her sister, the one person who should never have betrayed her, had betrayed her in the worst way possible. She had slept with her sister’s man, and more than once. Charlotte had died to protect everyone, and her sister had repaid her by jumping into bed with the love of Charlotte’s life.
Klaus was to blame too… how could he do that to Charlotte after everything they’d been through? It was an absolute betrayal.
“I haven’t wanted to see anyone,” she replied, rubbing her eyes and pulling herself up off the bed. ”They betrayed me. He betrayed me. He slept with my sister and she lied to my face. I have no energy left but I want them to pay.”
